Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Willis and Edith (Nichols) Huntley. He graduated from Saint John Vocational School in 1946 and was employed in the electrical construction industry with M.W. Graves and H.B. Mitchell Ltd. He was a member of Nova Scotia Teachers Union, teaching electrical construction at Kings Regional Vocational School, Kentville, from 1965-1985. He was a member and past steward of Berwick United Church and was serving on session at the time of his death. He was a member and past president of Central Kings Crusaders Seniors Club and past executive officer of Berwick Minor Hockey Association. Surviving are his wife, the former Helen MacDonald; sons, Willis, Weston; Alden, Berwick; daughters, Yvonne (Mrs. Terry Graves), Weston; Janet Eisnor, Berwick; Edith (Mrs. Oran Crocker), Black Rock; nine grandchildren; sisters, Nina Wheeler, Hilda Huntley, Berwick; Ardith Clack, Sydney. He was predeceased by sister, Evelyn Huntley. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday in Berwick United Church, Rev. Donald C. MacPherson officiating. Burial in Berwick Cemetery. Donations to Berwick United Church memorial fund.
