Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Juanita (Varner) McCabe, Bible Hill and the late Kenneth Bruce McCabe. Diane loved life and took everything with a grain of salt; she was always happy and nothing got her down. She was a strong woman who loved her family with all her heart, especially her children, who were her world. Along with her mother, Diane is survived by her sister, Tanya McCabe, Bible Hill; brother, Gordon McCabe, Bible Hill; common-law spouse, Scott Hanna, Bible Hill; children, Emily McCabe, Kendra McCabe, Alexis Hanna, Lukas Hanna; maternal grandfather, Hughie Taylor, Bible Hill; paternal grandparents, Gordon and Elizabeth (Johnston) McCabe, Salmon River; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Along with her father, she was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, June Elizabeth Taylor and Everett and Miriam (Langille) Varner.
