She was in her 86th year. Carol was born July 7, 1930 in Niagara Falls, New York and the eldest child of the late Clinton Lloyd and Ella Anna (Wells) Allen. In early years Carol was employed with Travelers' Insurance, John E. Lloyd Chartered Accountants and later retired from RBC Bank. Carol was a member of the Amateur Artists Association and a founding member of the Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia, Teachers Branch, Truro. Rug hooking was her life passion. The greater part of their married life spent in Halifax, revolved around badminton, playing Bridge, neighborhood gatherings and activities. Carol was an active member of their church choir and loved to play piano. She will be sadly missed by the love of her life, her husband of 66 years, "Charlie". She was predeceased by sisters in law Dorothy Allen, Diane Allen and Janet Morse; brothers in law Alvah, Holmes and Donald. Interment in the North Kingston Cemetery.
