  • Obituary: BRADFORD -- Izetta R. Corbett, 98, of Clarion, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007, just eight days before her 99th birthday, in the Bradford Pavilion in Bradford. Born August 2, 1908, in Reynoldsville, she was the daughter of George and Jenny Robertson Roller. She was married November 7, 1936, in Mayville , N.Y., to Charles Emerson Corbett, who preceded her in death October 5, 1982. Mrs. Corbett was a 1928 graduate of Clarion Normal School. Mrs. Corbett was an elementary teacher for nine years in Strattanville and also was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarion and was a member of the church circle group. Mrs. Corbett was a volunteer at Clarion Hospital. Surviving are two daughters, Jeanette Matto and husband, Michael, and Phyllis Pionzio and husband, John, all of Bradford; one son, Charles E. Corbett Jr. and wife, Betsy, of Wernersville; three grandchildren, John Pionzio, Kathy Elliott and Todd Corbett; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Corbett was preceded in death by three sisters, three brothers and a grandson, Matthew Ross Corbett. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Services were held Monday, July 30, 2007, in the First Presbyterian Church in Clarion with the Rev. Kate Filer officiating. Interment followed in the Strattanville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. The Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St., Clarion, was in charge of arrangements.
