Born Aug. 21, 1921, in Strattanville, she was the daughter of Edward B. and Dora Clover Corbett. Mrs. Carroll worked at Owens-Illinois Glass Plant and retired from Clarion Area High School Cafeteria. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarion and the Circle of the church and the American Legion Auxiliary of Strattanville. Mrs. Carroll enjoyed walking, reading, listening to music and most of all, the Pittsburgh Pirates. She was married Sept. 25, 1964, to Eugene Carroll, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Patricia Miklic of East Liverpool, Ohio, Joanne Reddinger and husband, Barry, of Clarion and Judith Elias of Parma, Ohio; five grandchildren, Michael Miklic of DuBois, Vickie Mowry of Cranberry Township, Mishelle Harriger of Berea, Ohio, Patricia McNamara of Brunswick, Ohio, and Daniel Reddinger of Morris, Ill.; and eight great-grandchildren. She also is survived by one sister, Grace Kisner of Vale, Ariz. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carroll was preceded in death by six brothers, Raymond Corbett, Dr. Allen Corbett, Gerald Corbett, Charles Corbett, Dr. L.E. Corbett and Paul Corbett; and two sisters, Georgia Hartzell and Winifred Chapman. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 638 Wood St., Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Kate Filer, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Clarion, officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarview Memorial Park.
