  • Obituary: Feb. 22, 1932 -- Aug. 25, 2004 Lois R. "LuLu" Chace died in Overlake Hospital, Bellevue, at age 72 from complications of diabetes. Mrs. Chace lived in Bellevue and Sequim, where she maintained a home for 25 years. She was born in Trumbull, Conn., to Jeremiah and Ada (Davis) Randall. Her first husband was Irving Mahler. Her marriage to William B. Chace in Reno, Nev., on Dec. 31, 1975, ended with his death May 11, 2001. For many years, the Chaces owned and operated Chace's Pancake Corral in Bellevue. For more than 30 years, she also organized and hosted Bill Chace Pancake Corral Golf Tournaments, mainly held in Hawaii and in Sequim, where she was a member of Dungeness Golf and Country Club. Mrs. Chace retired in 1989. In addition to golf and cooking, she enjoyed music, working crossword puzzles and family. Survivors include stepsons Tony Chace and Michael Chace; daughters Ada M. Williams and Jane P. Zakskorn; stepdaughters Lorraine Chace and Nancy Chace; brothers George Randall, Daniel Randall and Jeremiah Randall; sisters Adeline Szerkeres, Edna Brush, Bernice Stevens, Marion Dudics and Harriet Buda; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandson Tyler A. Zakskorn. Services: Sunday, Aug. 29, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Monday, Aug. 30, 9 a.m. until immediately preceding the 2 p.m. funeral, visitation in Green Funeral Home, 1215 145th Place SE, Bellevue. Burial in Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 1575 145th Place SE, Bellevue, will follow the funeral. Memorials: Boys & Girls Club of the Olympic Peninsula, P.O.
