  • Obituary: Jane R. Messenger formerly of Foxboro died at Caritas Norwood Hospital after a long illness on Tuesday September 20, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Ruth Mae (Lightbody) Messenger. Jane grew up in Foxboro and graduated from Foxboro High School with the class of 1960. She then graduated from Brigham Young University in 1965 with a degree in teaching in home economics. Jane then taught the 7th and 8th grade at Yarmouth Middle School. She later worked at the Natick Laboratorys as a secretary. She then worked at the Kendall Co. in Walpole and finally as a group home counselor for the Human Services of Norwood. As a young women Jane was a Rainbow Girl. She wrote poetry and through out her life she was an animal lover. Jane was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in Foxboro. A funeral service will be held on Saturday September 24 at 3 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home 30 South Street Foxboro with Bishop Kellervo Hynynen from the Church in Foxboro officiating. Calling hours are omitted. Burial will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery in Foxboro.
