Duane was the son of Faith MacKay and the late Ernie Langille. Known for his quiet strength and generous heart, Duane spent much of his life working in a variety of labour positions, including at Oxford Frozen Foods, Wallace Fisheries, Yard's Plus Landscaping, Truro Superstore, and McDonald's. He was predeceased by his father, Ernie Langille, and sister, Vicki Langille.
