  • Obituary: James A. Dittemore, 91, Washington, died Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at his daughter's home. He was born October 10, 1909, at Billings, Montana, son of James A. Dittemore Sr. and wife Harriet, nee Purves. He graduated from Washington High School. On March 4, 1930, he was united in marriage to Kathryn Williams at the First Baptist Church in Barberton, Ohio. She preceded him in death. In 1990, he was united in marriage to Leona Wibbing. Mr. Dittemore worked for the International Shoe Company and was co-owner of Jim and Elton's Service Station and Evinrude Dealership. He was a member of Hope Lodge No. 51 A.F. and A.M. in Washington and served on the city's park board. Mr. Dittemore is survived by his wife, Leona Dittemore; two daughters, JoAnn Hagedorn and husband Jack, and Jerrilee Wood and husband Denver; three grandsons; two granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Lizabeth Hopkins, Akron, Ohio; other relatives and many friends. Memorial services were private. Mr. Dittemore donated his body to Washington University School of Medicine.
