  • Obituary: Age 68, Perth, Ont., formerly of Middle Stewiacke, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2022, in Ottawa Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Glenda was born in Truro to Margaret (Fletcher) and Vernon Fisher. While Glenda travelled many places throughout her life, Nova Scotia was always dear to her heart. She was known for being the life of any party, many of which she organized herself. She brought laughter, joy and fun wherever she went and never passed up a chance to make a joke or have a laugh. In addition to her family and friends in Nova Scotia, Glenda will be greatly missed by many of her friends and family throughout Ontario, Alberta and Florida, where she spent many cold, Canadian winters. Glenda leaves behind her soulmate and loving husband, Dennis; her son, Gary (Roxanne) Kennedy; dear granddaughter, Kaitlyn; brothers, Muir (Carolyn) Fisher, Earle (Audrey) Fisher; sister-in-law, Bev Fisher; many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Scott; stepson, Lee Driscoll; brother, Donald. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, May 15th, in Middle Stewiacke United Church, 21 Cloverdale Rd., Middle Stewiacke. Interment in Middle Stewiacke Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Glenda's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation are welcomed.
