He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Everett and Mary F. Alvey, and three brothers, Robert Paul, William Gerald, and Francis 'Spanks' Alvey. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Lelia 'Bunny' Alvey; one daughter, Janet Gagliano and husband Charles of Haslett, Mich.; three sons, Patrick Alvey and wife Alice of Bourbonnaise, Ill., Michael Alvey of Zepherhills, Fla., and James Alvey and wife Chris of Colchester, Conn.; one sister, Martha Mills of Madisonville; three brothers, Tom Alvey of Zepherhills, Fla., James Alvey of East Peoria, Ill., and Joe Alvey of Morganfield; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Friday, March 14 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Morganfield with Fr. Terry Devine officiating. Friends may call at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and until service time on Friday. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery.
