  • Obituary: Edith C. McNeil (Keddy) - Kentville/Habitant, lovingly known as GG to family and friends, passed away on June 6, 2018 at the age of 93. GG was always unapologetically authentic. There was never a doubt about what she was thinking because if she thought it…she said it. Whether it was a delicious meal or a horrendous haircut you could always trust GG for the honest to god truth (unless the question was if she smoked). During WWII she proudly served her country as part of the Canadian Women's Army Corp. She had a long and accomplished career at Waterbury Newton & Johnson in Kentville, was a dedicated member of the St. John's Anglican Church and for many years a devoted volunteer at Fidelis House. GG was a gifted story teller, a world traveller, and an accomplished quilter, whose handmade treasures have landed all over the world. She was a dedicated member of the Anglican Church Women's group and especially enjoyed attending the Monday sewing sessions with her dear friends. Edith was predeceased by husband, Harold McNeil; father, Harry Keddy and mother, Myrtle (nee Forbes) Keddy Russell and step-father, Stephen Russell; brother, Douglas and sister-in-law, Linda; brother, Vincent and sister-in-law, Marie and a sister, Alice. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County. White Family Funeral Home
