MacLeod M.D., 86, of St. Augustine, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at the Bailey Family Center for Caring. He was born and raised in Wakefield, Mass., and was a graduate of both Tufts University and Boston University Medical School. Dr. MacLeod practiced medicine in Manchester, Mass., from 1965 to 1987, after which he relocated to St. Augustine. He was a member of the American Medical Association. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy MacLeod of St. Augustine; sons, Ernest MacLeod of Tampa and Andrew MacLeod and his wife, Maureen, of Manchester, Mass; a daughter, Patricia MacLeod Caffrey, and her husband, James, of Louisa, Va; a nephew, Curt Nitzsche of Reading, Mass; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services and interment will take place at a later date in Wakefield, Mass. St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
