  • Obituary: Morrell, Beverly Mae, 75, Brookfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 10, 2012 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Wentworth, she was a daughter of the late Eileen (Angevine) Gordon. Beverly worked as a seamstress for many years at Stanfields. She loved attending her sons' hockey games, listening to her children playing guitar, knitting and attending jamborees. Beverly loved her pets, especially her dog, Rusty. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the center of her life. Along with her family, she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Wesley Morrell; daughters, Pauline (Bruce Lake) George, Brookfield, Deborah (Stephen) MacKay, Upper Stewiacke, Katherine Toole (Bud Burris), Brookfield, Gertie Toole, Brookfield; twin sister, Gloria Scarfe, Ottawa; sons, Wilfred (Doreen Wilson), Brookfield, Everett (Jackie Elliott), Pleasant Valley, Darrell (Denise Mitchell-West), Stewiacke, Jack (Debbie Barker), Brookfield, 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Brenda (Terry) Woodworth, Stewiacke, stepson, Darryl (Darlene Thompson) Morrell, Indian Brook; step father, Ross Davidson, Onslow; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband, John William Toole Jr.; son-in-law, John George Jr.; granddaughter, Rebecca. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 13 at 11:00 am in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. Interment in Brookfield Westside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
