Meadows, who died Oct. 22 at age 78. Mr. Meadows was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Portland. He graduated from Clinton Kelly High School of Commerce. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Forces. He was a self-employed vending machine serviceman and later a car salesman for Braley & Graham for about 15 years, retiring in 1978. In 1944, he married Betty J. Stearns. Survivors include his wife; sons, William and Robert B.; daughter, Cathy Gorsline; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. His parents were Samuel Wilton Meadows, Jr and Garnella J. [McFarlane] Meadows. Interment in Portland Memorial Mausoleum. Arrangements by Portland Memorial.
