He dropped dead as he was leaving the barn and was found by his wife. Death was due to a heart attack. Harry Fletcher Reed was the son of Fletcher and Adelia (Willet) Reed of Granville Ferry. He was born 65 years ago in the house in which he and Mrs Reed had made their home during the past 14 or 15 years. When a young man he went to the United States. Thirty two years ago he married at Dorchester, Mass, Miss Nelly Berryman, a native of England, who had come in childhood with her parents to Canada, where she received her education in Dramatic Art which she afterward taught in the Toronto Conservatory of Music and Havergal Ladies College, Toronto. Mr Reed was in business in the United States until his return to Granville Ferry with Mrs Reed and their 2 sons from Eastport, Maine 18 years ago on the death of his uncle Walter Willet, whose home he inherited and which he sold a few years later to Mr and Mrs Minard Bent. He and his brother the late Walter Reed carried on their uncle's business as general merchants until his brother's death after which he carried on the business alone. Mr Reed was the Chapel Warden of Holy Trinity Church and the Superintendent of the Sunday School. He leaves his wife, 2 sons: Robert who is an electrical engineer of Danvers, Mass., and James who is with the Raymond Whitcomb Tourist Agency in Chicago, and one sister Annie, Mrs Henry Hackerley of Halifax. The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon, Reverend RTB Anderson officiating, with the address being given by Rt Reverend John Hackenley, Co-Adjutor Bishop. Interment was in All Saint's Churchyard, Granville Centre.
