Richard Paustian of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Globe officiating. Burial was in the Globe Cemetery. Eighty-eight year-old Mrs. Carvel died last Thursdasy at Gila General Hospital. Born in Louisville, Ky., Mrs. Carvel had been a resident of Globe 50 years. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Beck Reed of Phoenix; three grandsons, Ray B. Reed of Phoenix, and Mr. Allen and Edward Beck of Colorado; and three great grandchildren. Mrs. Carvel was wed to Charlie Edward Beck of Gunnison, Colo. in 1897 and they came to Globe in 1904 because Charlie's brother, Fred, was interested with Gibson Silver Mine west of Miami. In 1912 she married Carvel, and they, and they moved to Central Avenue, west of Globe. Mr. Carvel died, and she has lived on at Central Avenue until the time of her death.
