The Christian Messenger Jan 11,1860 Obituary: The death of Mrs Amelia, widow of the late Major Phinney, occurred at the home of her nephew at Centreville on the 12th inst., aged 83 years. Her death resulted from injuries received in a fall down a stairway last January. She was the daughter of the late Eben Messenger of Centreville, and for some time after her marriage resided at Wilmot. She had no children, but 1 sister, Mrs Eliza Hicks of Centreville survives her.
