Born in Oxford, she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Abigail (Miller) Mills. Erma was a past member of Royal Canadian Legion and Ladies Auxiliary, Oxford. She enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets, playing darts and cards, and cooking. She is survived by her sons, Edward (Debbie), Edmonton, Alta.; Earl (Cheryl), Birchwood; companion, Albert "Boots" Legere, Oxford; former husband, Leon, Ottawa, Ont.; sisters, Dorothy Cummings, Springhill; Irene (Stan) Ellis, Oxford; grandchildren, Amanda, Oxford; Christopher and James, both of Edmonton, Alta.; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons in infancy; brothers, Layton and Percy Mills; sister, Grace Carter. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, December 2, with funeral service at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 3, both in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, 5075 Main St., Oxford (447-2930).
