Moore, 93, died at home, March 13, 2014, after months of declining health. She was born Oct. 20, 1920, in Bangor, the daughter of Harold and Dorothy (Foster) White. Dot grew up in Portland graduating from Portland High 1939 where she was a member of the equestrian team. On a visit to Bangor she met Walter "Gus" Moore of Old Town at a dance at the Chateau Ball Room, they married Nov. 8, 1942, had two sons, Gary and Bruce and spent 62 years together until Gus's death in 2004. Where ever she worked, at W.T. Grant, Eastern Trust and Banking or Holiday Inn Main St, Dot was commended for her friendly and helpful interaction with people. She still receives Christmas cards from appreciative guests. Dot was able to enjoy her senior years reading the many murder mysteries from the library, especially the great Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot.
