Born in Bridgetown, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Fifine (Holland) Jackson. She was a registered nurse, working in Middleton and Halifax hospitals, as well as at several hospitals in the United States. She and her husband lived a number of years in Clearwater, Fla., returning to Middleton to retire in 1983. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Abrams, Clearwater, Fla.; sister, Mrs. Ora Saunders, London, Ont.; several half-brothers and halfsisters; four grandsons; three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, C. Edgar; infant daughter, Donna; foster parents, George and Nellie Wilson; a brother and a sister. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. October 7 in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton, Canon Emery Harris officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Donations may be made to St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Lawrencetown or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
