  • Obituary: McCULLOCH, Glenwood Mansfield - Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at the age of 73. He was born April 25, 1934, on Noel Road, Hants County. Glenwood was the first of eight children born to Ray and Edith (White) McCulloch. Glenwood grew up on North Noel Road and in 1956 at 22 he traveled by train to British Columbia. In 1967, Glen, as he was known to his friends in British Columbia, married Rosina "Rose" Olafson and resided in 100 Mile House before moving to the Horsefly, Margurite and Likely areas. In 1973, Glen moved his family to Williams Lake where he has resided for the past 34 years. Glen and Rose had three daughters, Ann, Trina and Glenda. Glen loved to spend time fishing with close friends and family and spent many weekends at Dugan, Jacobie and Horsefly lakes teaching his girls the art of fishing. Glen worked in the logging and lumber industry for over 40 years and in 1999 at 65, he retired from Weldwood of Canada. Glen was predeceased by his parents, Ray (1969) and Edith (1991); grandson, Matt Johnson (1991); brothers, Avery (1993), Stanley (2000); and father- in-law, William Olafson (2006). Glen will be greatly missed by his wife of 40 years, Rose; daughters, Ann , Trina and Glenda , sisters, Cora (Bob) Cox, North Noel Road; Margaret , Kennetcook; brothers, Hollis (Elsie) McCulloch, Kennetcook; Tony McCulloch, Prince Albert, Sask.; Ellis (Corina) McCulloch, North Noel Road; aunts, Nettie (White) McCulloch, Kennetcook; Hilda (Blair) White, North Noel Road; uncles, Murray (Dorothy) White, North Noel Road; Aubrey (Rowena) White, North Noel Road; mother- in-law, Lillian Olafson, Abbotsford, B.C.; numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws in both British Columbia and Nova Scotia. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 25, in Williams Lake Cemetery, Williams Lake, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Glen's memory to the Huntington Society of Canada or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
