Born in Tidnish, NS, he was a son of the late Norman and Helen (Bugley) MacPhee. A coal miner, he worked for Grande Cache Coal Co, for many years. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed a good boxing match over a couple of cold ones. Whenever possible he spent time with his grandchildren. Rennie will be sadly missed by his children, Timothy (Suzanne) MacPhee, Tidnish, Lonnie (Martine) Campbell, Edmonton, AB, Stacy (Joseph) Gargin, Halifax, Ashley MacPhee, Amherst, NS, Renee MacPhee, Grande Prairie, AB and Skyler Belcourt, Grand Prairie, AB; grandchildren, Samara and Kyler, Elizabeth and Damien; a sister, Vicki (Alan) Hardy, Tidnish, NS; niece Tiffany and nephew, Wade Hardy. Rennie's remains have been entrusted into the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst (902-667-8777) from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 11 am. Rennie's family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 10 am until the time of the funeral.
