Obituary: CHARLTON - Olive (Hands) Dalrymple, 86, of 19 Masonic Home Road, died Friday in Lanessa Care Facility, Webster.
Her husband, Edgar Leroy Dalrymple, died in 1967. She leaves a son, Colin Dalrymple of Dudley, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was born in Wolverhampton, England, daughter of Joseph and Nellie (Ryhall) Hands, and lived in Southbridge before moving here in 1954. Mrs. Dalrymple was an assistant manager at the Old Sturbridge Village gift shop in Sturbridge for many years. Previously, she worked at Ames Worsted Co. in Southbridge. She enjoyed traveling, knitting and doing crossword puzzles.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 7 Oak St. Worcester 01609.
