Born in East Gore, she was a daughter of the late Aubrey and Ola (MacAskill) Dalrymple. During her younger years, Pauline worked at Lake Ledge Inn and taught school in East Gore, West Indian Road and Upper Nine Mile River. Later on she worked in Security for the Halifax International Airport and Sears, however, Pauline considered her most important job to be raising her children, whom she loved very much. Pauline enjoyed yard sales, bingo, card parties and many memorable roadtrips with her family. She is survived by her children, Joan Tomlinson (Mick), Minasville; Jimmy Fraser (Charlene), Upper Nine Mile River; Sharon Fraser, Upper Nine Mile River; Michelle MacDonnell, Enfield; grandchildren, Cara, Kelli, Steven, Erin, Jeff, Bryant, Ashley, Jena, Andrea and Jillian; great-grandchildren, Anna, Mary Sarah, Broady, Kenzie, Keenan and Layla; sisters, Ruth Laycock (Jack), St. Stephen, N.B.; Reta Meisner (Billy), Hammonds Plains; Inez Bateyko, Manitoba; Blanche Grant, East Gore; brothers, Bert and Ross Dalrymple, East Gore; brother-in-law, Aubrey Davis, Eastern Passage. Pauline was predeceased by her husband, Norman; sisters, Ethel in infancy; Audrey Davis, Evelyn MacPhee and her brother, Blair. Cremation has taken place and at Pauline's request there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held for family and friends at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, in Sand Hill Cemetery, Upper Nine Mile River, Rev. Angus R. MacDonald officiating.
