  • Obituary: MASHPEE '97 Clyde "Dutch" DeWolfe, 85, of Mashpee, died October 9, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Janus I. (Waring) DeWolfe to whom he was married 53 years. Dutch, as he was affectionately known by friends and family throughout his life, was a nickname he was given while at Northeastern University. He played both hockey and baseball at N.U., and took his passion for those sports to youth sports. He coached baseball, hockey, and softball, and was one of the founding directors of Masco Youth Hockey. As an avid golfer, he truly enjoyed being a starter during his retirement years. He worked as a starter at New Seabury Country Club, Kensington Country Club in Naples, FL, and Oyster Harbors Country Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jeffrey DeWolfe of North Reading; his daughter, Darlene DeWolfe of Dallas, TX; and his twin grandchildren, Alexander and Ava DeWolfe, both of North Reading. Visitation will be from 1- 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2013, in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. at Route 151, Mashpee, followed by a Memorial Service in the funeral home beginning at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod, PO Box 895, Mashpee, MA, 02649.
