He was born May 6, 1933, in Arlington, Mass., the son of the late Edward and Greta (Deojay) Dalrymple. He enjoyed his family, new home and numerous hobbies, including gardening, building and collecting model trains and planes; raising Koi fish and caring for the arboretum he planted. He is predeceased by sisters Frances Hanrahan, Elizabeth Labonte and Hazel Dalrymple. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rachael (Labonte) Dalrymple; their three children, Ronald Dalrymple and friend Ana Drexler, Anna Dalrymple Forte and husband Peter, and Raymond Dalrymple; grandchildren Brittany and Dalton Dalrymple, Daniella, Christa, Kyle and Shaina Forte; and great-grandchildren Braydon and Liam Dalrymple.
