Notes Obituary: UXBRIDGE Gladys O. (Lombardi) Cox, 68, of Uxbridge, died Saturday, April 26, 2008, after an illness. Her beloved husband of 26 years, David W. Cox, died Dec. 22, 2006. She is survived by two stepsons, John D. Cox of Daytona and David J. and his wife, Colleen Cox, of Burlington; two grandchildren, and Christopher Cox; and several nephews and nieces. Born in Woonsocket, R.I., on Nov. 22, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Elmira and Sylvia (Sullivan) Lombardi. Mrs. Cox was a cook for Medfield State Hospital for more than 20 years. She enjoyed her pets, gardening and cooking. She was an excellent baker. Her funeral will be held Saturday, May 3, at 10 a.m., at the Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home (www.jackmanfuneralhome.com), 35 Snowling Road, Uxbridge. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, 106 South St., Westborough.
