He was born April 6, 1936, in Walton County the son of Lester Lee Floyd and Annie Lee Rushing Floyd. Marvin was a veteran having served his country with the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict . He served two years overseas in Japan during 1955 and 1956. Many will remember Marvin in his employment with the Florida Department of Transportation where he worked as an Engineering Technician. Among survivors are three sons, one stepdaughter, three grandsons, three granddaughters, one great-granddaughter; one sister, and the mother of his children. Visitation: 6 to 8pm, Tuesday, June 7, 2011, in the Jerry Evans Chapel. Funeral: 11:00am, Wednesday, June 8, 2011, in the Jerry Evans Chapel, with Reverend George Katzman officiating.
