Born in Shelburne, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Catherine (Davis) Boyd. While Kathy and Dean lived in Toronto she was employed with Wimpey Canada, working her way up from secretary to become an administrator of the company. Following their move back to Pugwash she became interested in local politics and served as a municipal councilor for several terms. She worked at various other jobs and was very active in community affairs. Surviving are her husband, Dean Langille; daughters, Sheena Langille (Bill Brown), Dartmouth; Amanda (Colin) McGee, Toronto; son, Dean Langille (Taylor Ripley), Amherst; grandchildren, Matthew, Courtney and Matthew; sisters, Margie Buchanan, Sharon Boyd (Peter Burgoyne), all of Pugwash Jct.; brothers, Jerry (Orlie) Buchanan, Ladysmith, B.C.; Garnet (Debbie) Buchanan, Debert; Lennie (Donna) Boyd, Wallace Bay; Gary (Tammy) Boyd, Pugwash; sister-in-law, Cheryl Boyd, Wallace Bay. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a sister, Phyllis; brothers, Bill Buchanan; Glennie Boyd and Robert Boyd. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, in Mundle's Funeral Home , 204 Water St., Pugwash, from where the funeral service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Rev.
