  • Obituary: HAROLD JAMES CUTTEN May 15, 1940 '96 September 5, 2017 Harold J. "Hal" Cutten, 77, passed away peacefully Tuesday night at Huntsville Hospital with his loving family by his side. Mr. Cutten was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Roy and Mabel Scott Cutten; and his son, Michael Scott Cutten. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 56 years, Dianne Cutten; three sons, Robert (Sarah) Cutten of Prescott Valley, AZ, David (Cheri) Cutten of Huntsville, and Patrick (Jamie) Cutten of Athens; a sister, Joan (Bob) Urbanak of Wappingers Falls, NY; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. "Hal", as most friends and family knew him, loved life and family and all things beautiful. He was a proud veteran of the U. S. Coast Guard with 25 years of service. Hal was a Christian man and long-time faithful member at First Church of the Nazarene. Also an avid golfer, Hal had several hole-in-ones to brag about. He loved watching baseball and singing in the choir. Mr. Harold Cutten was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him! You may visit with the family on Friday, September 8, 2017 at the First Church of the Nazarene at 9640 Meridian Street in Huntsville, AL from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. There will be a funeral service conducted by Rev. Sharon Keffer and Pastor Scott Lowrey commencing at 2:00 PM at the church.
