  • Obituary: AudreyR. (Murphy) Figueiredo-Parker age 60 passed away at the Mass General Hospital in Boston on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 after a brief illness. Audrey was born in Weymouth, Raised and educated in Quincy. Graduate of North Quincy High School and Bentley College. Resident of Weymouth for the past 41 years. She was employed as a Sales Analyst with Blue Cross Blue Shield in Boston for the past 8 years. She was a member and Treasurer of the Democratic Town Committee in Weymouth. She was also a member and former treasurer of the Weymouth Lodge of Elks, being the first woman to hold an office with lodge. Audrey was also active in many committees with both the Town of Weymouth and the Weymouth Lodge of Elks. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, cooking and sports. Beloved wife of Benjamin B. Parker. Loving mother of Robert F. Figueiredo Jr. , Debra A. (Figueiredo) Eastman, Linda M. Figueiredo, Nicholas E. Parker all of Weymouth and the late Eric B. Parker. Devoted grandmother of Michael Figueiredo, David Eastman, Alexandria Parker and Ryan Figueiredo. Daughter of the late James P. and Irene G. (MacKenzie) Murphy. Sister of John Murphy, Michael Murphy both of Marshfield, Mary Costa of Weymouth and the late Donald J. and Gerard V. Murphy. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, SO. WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rt.18 Opp. So. Sh. Hospital) Friday at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church (Weymouth Landing) at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:00 p.m. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8.
