Behlman, 83, of Osterville, MA died peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 25, 2015. Born and raised in Cotuit, MA and a 1950 graduate of Barnstable High School. Richard was a proud veteran of the Korean War, a member of the VFW of Hyannis and Osterville Veterans Associations. He worked at the VFW as a bartender for over 40 years and was known as "Lightning". He enjoyed family events, Boston sports teams, golf, dogs, cribbage, taking care of his yard and his afternoon trips to Dunkin Donuts. Richard is survived by his wife of 60 years Beverly, son Richard and his wife Colleen of Sandwich, daughter Becky of Mashpee, and son Eric of Osterville, two granddaughters Carly (Jason) and Spencer (Tim), great grandsons Jackson and Mason and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Helen and Arthur and his sister Ann Drew. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, September 2nd at Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit.
