  • Obituary: HERALD-PRESS Huntington, Indiana Wed., April 27, 1932 WINIFRED E. BILITER UPHAM Mrs. Winifred E. Upham, forty-three, a former resident of this city, died at 4:20 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Irene Byron Sanitarium at Fort Wayne, where she had been a patient for the last two years. While a resident of this city, Mrs. Upham was employed as a bookkeeper in the office of the Miller Tire and Accessory shop and resided in rooms in the I.O.O.F. block on East Franklin street. Mrs. Upham was born August 22,1888, to William and Amanda Billiter in Wayne township. Her marriage to Arthur L. Upham took place October 19, 1913, at Minot, N.D. Her husband died January 18, 1929. She is survived by one daughter, Winifred Upham, of this city, one brother, James Billiter, one sister, Miss Mary L. Billliter and her father, William Billiter, all of Wayne township. The body was taken to the W.R. Briggs funeral home, 827 Poplar street at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon where it will remain until 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon when it will be taken to the home of her father in Wayne township where funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock with the Rev. J.W. Borders, pastor of the Andrews Methodist church in charge. Burial will be at the Mt. Etna cemetery. ----------------------------------- Funeral services for Mrs. Winifred E. Upham, who died Tuesday afternoon at Fort Wayne, were held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home of her father, William Billiter in Wayne township, with the Rev. J.W. Borders, pastor of the Andrews Methodist church in charge. Music for the services was furnished by Ralph Myers, Minnie Myers, and Dr. and Mrs. Smith. Flowerbearers were Vada Billiter, Caroline Pinkerton, Wilodean Kierstead, Elenor Fansler. Ballbearers were cousins, Bert Fisher, Wilber Fisher, Milo Shelley, Holti Bradford, Frank Billiter and Guy Billiter. Burial was at the Mt. Etna cemetery.
