Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Ernest Victor and Nellie Mae (Donavon) Hamilton. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas. He was a postal officer and letter carrier for 27 years. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, Truro. He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Truro, the Men's Club, Good Neighbours Senior Citizens and Federal Superannuates National Association. He is survived by his wife, the former Florence Margaret Faulkner; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, with Legion tribute service at 7:45 p.m., funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, all in Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro, Rev. Lori Ramsay officiating. Reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Anglican Church, Truro or a charity of your choice.
