Betty was born in Great Falls, Montana to Willard and Edith Kennedy, the middle of seven children. She graduated from Great Falls High School in 1947. In 1949 she married William "Billy" Madison. Betty worked at Mountain Bell Telephone before becoming the mother to four children. She played an active role in running the family business, Johnson Madison Lumber and did book work for the company well into her eighties. Betty and Billy traveled extensively, enjoying many trips throughout the United States and the world. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church. Her favorite things were playing bridge with her friends, attending her church bible study and quilting group, spending time at her children's cabins in Monarch, and mostly being with family. Betty was beloved, admired and adored by everyone she met. She will be missed by many.
