Wife of the late R. Douglas Ayer (1999). Lovingly remembered by her daughter Jacqueline and her husband Timothy Powell, her son George and his wife Nori and three grandchildren Christian, Keenan and Jason Ayer. Long-time and active member of Timothy Eaton Memorial Church and author of 'A Great Church in Action,' a history of her church. Shirley volunteered in the community on many levels and had a strong passion for architectural heritage and the preservation of historic buildings. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME '96 A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22. Funeral service will be held in TIMOTHY EATON MEMORIAL CHURCH, 230 St. Clair Avenue West on Wednesday, June 23 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
