Beloved wife of the late Charles Arthur Piper. Loving mother of Charles (Carol) and Anne (Ron Duggan) and the late Raymond Piper (Tina-deceased, Pat-deceased). Devoted grandmother of eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late William Shaffner (Bennie-deceased). Rosie will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Rosie was the daughter of the late Vernon and Pearl (Morse) Shaffner. A graduate of Acadia University and a Registered Nurse, Rosie worked beside her husband to provide a wonderful home for her family. The door was always open, a bed available and food on the table for children, grandchildren, her mother, nieces and nephews, her brother and his family. December 23rd her mother's birthday, was a special time for the entire family, this was when Rosie hosted a massive turkey dinner with all of the trimmings. Rosie had many friends from being active in First Baptist Church, Curling, playing piano, watercolour painting, playing cards and travelling the world. The family sends a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Northwood, 6 centre who gave consistent, excellent loving care through this difficult time of her life. In accordance with Rosie's wishes there will be no funeral service, a Private Interment will take place in her hometown of Lawrencetown, Annapolis County at a later date.
