Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Catherine (Miller) Fields. Eva worked as a machine operator at Standfield's Ltd., Truro until her retirement. Eva loved to knit, quilt, and cook, especially for her family, playing Bingo, spending time with her grandchildren and traveling became her favorite interests in later years. She is survived by daughters, Cytheria (Richard) Thorne, Scarborough, Ont.; Carolyn (Connie) Taylor, Truro; Susan (Maynard) Simpson, Economy; sons, Fred Jr. "Marshall" (Marilyn), Truro; Richard (Gail), Camden; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Fred L. Taylor; son, Louis; sisters, Edith, Hazel, Evelyn; brothers, Ralph, Percy and George. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro. A family graveside service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Kaj Binderup officiating in Watson Cemetery, Truro.
