Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late John James and Miranda Martha (Langley)Fraser. Marion was a resident of New Glasgow most of her life where she was a member of the First United Baptist Church. She enjoyed Sewing and Crocheting. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by a daughter, Sheila Marie(Don)Hughes, Cambridge, ON; a son, Lee Fraser(Robin)Bates, Calgary; 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandsons. She was predeceased by her husband George W. Bates. Her remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow for visiting from 2-4 and 7-9pm Wednesday from where funeral services will be held 11am Thursday with Rev. Randy Stanton presiding. Reception to follow in the funeral home. Private family burial to take place in the Auburn Cemetery, Westville.
