Treen By Michael Daniels Jun 03, 2010 Richard Harvel Treen, 73, of Newry, Oxford, Maine, USA and formerly of North Attleboro, Bristol, Massachusetts, USA, died at his residence on May 31, 2010. He was born in Attleboro, Bristol, Massachusetts, USA, on April 18, 1937, the son of Earl and Ruth (Tabbner) Treen and was educated in Attleboro schools. Richard had served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1956 to 1959 and married the former Annette Frazier on July 29, 1957; she died on July 22, 2006. He had lived in North Attleboro, Bristol, Massachusetts, USAfor 45 years, Bennington, Hillsborough, New hampshire, USA, from 1989-2003, before moving to Maine, USAin 2003. Richard had worked for over 20 years as a die cutter for the Balfour Company and later self employed as a die cutter for 10 years retiring in 1989. Richard was a member of the B.O.P.E and the N.R.A. He is survived by one son, Thomas Treen of North Attleboro, Bristol, Massachusetts, USA; three daughters, Lauren Gurskis of Goffstown, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, USA, Susan Caldwell of North Attleboro, Bristol, Massachusetts, USA, and Elizabeth Comer of Merrimack, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, USA; one brother, Russell Treen of Attleboro, Bristol, Attleboro, Massachusetts, USA; one sister, Shelly Williams of Montana, USA; and 9 grandchildren, Derek, Lori-Beth, David, Jacob, Sara, Bo, Zoe, Noah and Allie. Memorial services will be held at the Greenleaf Funeral Home, 37 Vernon Street, Bethel, Oxford, Maine, USA, on Thursday, June 3, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Virginia Rickeman officiating.
