  • Obituary: WESTBROOK - Howard F. Langille, 77, died Thursday Oct. 29, 2015, at the Springbrook Center of Westbrook. He was born Feb. 19, 1938 in Portland the third son of Irving and Frances (Ware '96 Tuck) Langille. Howard grew up in Windham, attended local schools, and was a 1957 graduate of Windham High School. He was a standout athlete in both baseball and football. As a young man Howard shipped out in the Merchant Marines and was able to see a lot of the world. Following his Merchant Marine career he started work at the Todd Shipyard in San Pedro, Calif. where he worked until moving back to Maine to buy a convenience store in Cumberland. He then retired to Windham in 1998. In addition to his parents Howard was predeceased by his oldest brother Irving Langille Jr. He is survived by his siblings, Jacqueline McNabb of Saco, Ronald Langille of Saco, and Genevieve Langille of Windham; nephews, Michael Lewis of Windham, Lance McNabb of Saco, and Shaun Langille of Saco; and niece Laura Hodgkins of Saco. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 6, 2015 at the Dolby Funeral Chapel 434 River Road, Windham. An hour of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.dolbyfuneralchapel.com Howard had a great love for all animals.
