  • Obituary: PEPPERELL -- Randall C. "Randy" Heisler Sr., died March 20, 2011, at his home after long illness. Born in Boston, February 4, 1934, son of the late Charles and Nina (Abbott) Heisler. Randy was a member of the Merrimack Valley Baptist Church. He was so thankful to everyone there for their prayers and love during his long battle with cancer. He graduated from Boston Trade High School and took many courses over the years. (equivalent of two years of college). He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958, as an instructor in the Signal Corp. He had been employed at M/A-COM of Burlington, MA in the technical field for 46+ years, retiring in 1999. Randy was a ham radio operator and a Boy Scout; loved to fish, do gardening, travel and enjoyed music. He loved sports, especially the Red Sox and Celtics. He was a Cub Scout Leader and a Little League coach in Pepperell. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Beatrice "Bea" (Wilson) Heisler; five sons, Randy Jr., David and Stephen, of Pepperell; Ron of Florida, and Brian and his wife Susan of Townsend, and 10 grand-children. He also leaves four brothers and two sisters, Gordon and his wife, Carol of NC, Charles and his wife, Nadine, and Murray and his wife, Linda of FL, Les and his wife, AnnMarie of Nashua, NH, Carole Eaton and her husband, Charlie of Pepperell, and Gloria Nease of Jaffrey, NH; and four sisters-in-law. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends; as well as dear cousins, Carol, Gerry and Jennifer of Canada. He was also father of the late Bobby, and brothers-in-law, Charlie and Jim Wilson. A celebration of his life will be held at 1 P.M., Saturday at the Merrimack Valley Baptist Church, 517 Boston Post Rd., Merrimack, NH. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
