She was educated at the Columbus School for Girls and Dobbs Junior College. Education was a lifelong passion and she took classes in geology, metaphysics and religion and was also a volunteer in the Columbus schools. She attended First Congregational Church, Columbus, Ohio. She studied and practiced Transcendental Meditation and Yoga. She enjoyed traveling and nature. She and her husband owned a home in the Bay of Islands area, Whitefish Falls, Ontario, Canada. Survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard C. Ninde.
