  • Obituary: A gloom is cast over the entire community today caused by the sad death at 12:45 o'clock p. m., of Mrs. Nettie Young Willett, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Chas. Wolfe. While it had been known for several days that Mrs. Willett's condition was critical, her malady having been pronounced pneumonia, yet it was so earnestly hoped that she would survive. A trained nurse was summoned and physicians did all that medical skill could suggest for the alleviation of her physical suffering, but "Death loves a shining mark," and when human skill was exhausted the Grim Messenger, Death, claimed that bright, pure spirit and winged its flight to the home on high, for she was truly "a child of the King." Of unusual mental ability, bright, cultured and versatile, a teacher of phenomenal success and popularity, both with pupils and patrons, a devoted and self-sacrificing mother to her only child, a son, a loving sister and faithful friend, how can her place be filled? The funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock p. m., Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wolfe, after which the remains will be escorted to the Southern Pacific depot and the interment will be made in Seguin in the family lot. The Inquirer extends sincere sympathy to the bereaved young son, sisters, relatives and friends.
