"Jack" Linnell, 82, of Blackstone Boulevard died Wednesday, May 9 at home. He was the husband of Barbara Dumican Linnell. Born in Boston, MA, a son of the late Robert M. and Ruth M. Parker Linnell, he had lived in Pawtucket for most of his life before moving to Providence 12 years ago. He summered in Westport, MA and wintered in Naples, FL for many years. He was a 1943 graduate of Moses Brown School and a 1949 graduate of Brown University. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He was a member of the Acoaxet Club, Westport, MA and the Brown Faculty Club. He was a former member of the Board of the Champlin Foundation. Jack was an avid golfer and an avid Brown Football fan. He adored his three grandchildren. He was a people person. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Kristen Gower and her husband, David of Rumford; and his three beloved grandchildren, Steven, Allison and John. His funeral service will be held SATURDAY, MAY 12 at 11 A.M. in Swan Point Cemetery Chapel, 585 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the MORTUARY of D. W. BELLOWS & SON, 85 Park Place, Pawtucket Friday 6-8 P.M. Please omit flowers.
