Shedd of Carver passed away Feb. 17, 2012. She was 78 years old. She was the wife of Robert D. Shedd for 59 years. She raised her family in Bridgewater for 33 years, most recently residing in Carver. Ann was an avid reader, a lifelong perennial gardener who left extensive gardens at four homes for future owners to enjoy and enjoyed watching and feeding many birds in the gardens. She was an active participant of the Cape Cod COPD support group. She is survived by her children, Sarah "Sally" Howland and her husband Richard of Carver, R. Danforth "Danny" Shedd and his wife Susan of Ashburnham, Rebecca "Becky" Foley and her husband Thomas of Carver, Martha Gordon and her husband Thomas of N. Dighton, and Nancy Hubbard and her husband Steven of Carver; her siblings, Gordon Pyper of Vero Beach, Fla., Robert Pyper and his wife Wendy of Rumford, R.I., and Joanna "Jody" Pyper Wormsbecher and her husband Rick of Dayton, Md., and the late Lois Finney and Caroline Buker; 21 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, March 10, from 9-11 a.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St. (Rte. 58), Carver, followed by a memorial service at United Parrish in Carver at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, dontations may be made to Salvation Army at www.salvationarmyusa.org.
