  • Obituary: Lucile Mavis Ames Belden, 98, of Federal Way, passed away March 4, 2011. She was born October 3, 1912 in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Lucile married Calvin Rushmore Belden in Springfield, Vermont. She was a beautician, owning her own beauty parlor and she also worked as a postal clerk. In 1996 Lucile ran in the 12th Annual Dugans Ocean Shores 5k run, taking 3rd Place in 60 and over class at the age of 84. In 1998 she ran in the 14th Annual Dugans Ocean Shores 5k run, taking 3rd Place in the 60 and over class at the age 86. She was the best grandma anyone could ask for. Lucile loved playing the ponies, she enjoyed her grandkids and great grandchildren. She had her pilots license; she enjoyed gardening, farming, bike riding, walking, swimming and spending time with Calvin (Grandpa). Lucile is survived by her loving husband Calvin R. Belden, daughter Juanita Breiling, 6 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Bernard & Angie Ames, brother Bernard ( Sonny) Ames, sisters Miriam Ames-Walker and Glady Ames-Dunlap.
