Born November 12th, 1936 in Melrose, MA, he was the only son of Lucy Genevieve Russell and Maurice Kinsley Pope. Russ was a 1954 graduate of Melrose High School, where he was a member of the Honor Society and served as class Treasurer. He graduated Williams College in 1958, where he was heavily involved in theatre. Russ was a long time resident of Manhattan, NY, where he worked in bonds at Chase Manhattan National Bank, and later of Quogue, NY, where he was active in real estate. During his retirement years, he traveled extensively, both with his motor home and on cruises with friends. He will be sincerely missed by his loving family and friends, and fondly remembered for his engaging smile, love of conversation, and warm nature. Russ is survived by his cousin, Jonathan Russell and his wife Cindy of Chappaqua, NY; their daughter Kimberley Russell of Croton, NY; and their son David Russell, his wife Katey, and children Elinor and Iain, also of Chappaqua, NY.
