Born in New Salem, he was a son of the late James and Viola MacAloney MacDougall. He worked in the lumber and truck industry for more than four years. He was a member of Port Greville United Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Marguerite Parsons, two sons, Thorpe, Port Greville and Tom, Bridgewater; four sisters, Effie (Mrs Chesley) Allen, Port Greville; Betty (Mrs Norman Cain) and Madeline (Mrs Harry Dollomont), both of Moncton, Marie (Mrs Ken Collins), Wards Brook; two brothers, Melvin, New Salem and Clair, Westchester, four grandchildren.
